We do not use cookies
dirttopermit.com does not set cookies. There are no analytics, advertising, social media or tracking scripts, pixels or fingerprinting on any page. Fonts and site images are served from our own servers, so no third-party service learns which pages you visit (map images are the one exception, explained below).
What your browser stores
To work properly, the site saves a few small items in your browser's local storage. They stay on your device, are not sent to us with every request the way cookies are, and are never used to track you.
| Item | What it does | When it is set | How long it lasts |
|---|---|---|---|
sb-…-auth-token | Keeps you signed in to your account. | Only when you sign in | Until you sign out |
theme | Remembers light or dark mode. | Only when you switch modes | Until you clear it |
notice-ack | Remembers that you have seen the no-cookies notice. | When you select "Got it" | Until you clear it |
dtp:sidebar-rail, dtp:nav-open | Remember how you left the tool's side menu. | When you collapse the menu or open a section | Until you clear it, or until you close the tab |
These items are strictly necessary for features you ask for, so they do not need consent. You can delete them at any time in your browser's settings (look for "site data" or "storage"); the site will still work, but you will be signed out and the notice will show again.
Other sites you may visit
- Stripe checkout. When you choose a paid plan, you go to Stripe's secure checkout and billing pages on stripe.com. Stripe sets its own cookies there for payment security and fraud prevention, under Stripe's cookie policy.
- Map images. When a map is shown, your browser loads map images from OpenStreetMap's tile servers. These requests set no cookies.
- Security checks. If our hosting provider, Cloudflare, ever has to show a security challenge page (for example, during an attack), it may set a short-lived, strictly necessary cookie (
cf_clearance) to remember that you passed. We do not read it, and it is not used for tracking.
