Our goal
Brigade Management, Inc. aims for dirttopermit.com to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA.
What we do
- Text and controls meet AA color contrast in both light and dark modes; the yellow accent always carries dark text.
- Every page works with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus outline and a "Skip to main content" link.
- The address search is an accessible combobox that works with screen readers and arrow keys.
- Images have text alternatives, and decorative images are hidden from assistive technology.
- Pages respect your system's reduced-motion and dark-mode settings and can be zoomed to 200% without loss.
- Every finding the map shows is also written out in text, so no result depends on seeing the map.
Known limitations
The context map on a check is a visual summary. Its information is also given in the findings and checklist. On the district benchmarks page, the figures in the district chart and the year-by-year chart are repeated in the tables beneath them, but the quarterly trend chart is visual only; contact us and we will send its figures.
Tell us about a barrier
If anything on the site is hard to use, please tell us through the contact form, or write to Brigade Management, Inc., P.O. Box 262084, Plano, TX 75026. Tell us the page and what happened, and we will respond within five business days and work with you to provide the information another way.
